I like being bewildered and this line, referring to the butterflies is a big wink to the reader. Nicely done!

Okay, boy are you right--holy sad story. BUT--I have to give you credit for that. It's just as hard to write a successful sad story as it is to write a good happy/funny story. Kudos to you. Nice flow and use of language. Feel free to write something a little happier sometime--I'd love to read that as well! :)

Aw...that left me kinda teary...okay honestly one or two tears have fallen...it's justso sad. Good writing, and a very sad fic.
