Quite a good beginning! Nice use of puns, and a very clean, clear writing style. I do get a bit of a feeling that your rushing this though, try to slow the events down a smidge.

Pretty good! I just noticed a few things that don't mesh with Piers Anthony's stories. Chex was not a result of a love spring. Chem mated with Xap because she did not find a worthy centaur male. Also, you said that Cherie was Chex's Mother - but Chem was Cherie's Filly, and Chex is Chem's filly! Otherwise you are doing a very good job!

Yes, I'm reviewing my own story. I know I refer to the filly as a guy some times, and that is because it used to be a colt, but then halfway through the atory it evolved into a filly in my mind, so i went back to change all the stuff and i missed a few, okay? Stop nit picking already for crying outloud!

Actually this isn't bad. Please keep going. I would like to know what Chyn's magic talent is. (Iknow she has a Talent. It couldn't be considered a Xanth adventure otherwise.)

I noticed that you change the foal's gender throughout the story. And, just for future reference, a female young horse/centaur is called a filly, and a young male horse/centaur is called a colt. But other than that-I like it!
