Great Fic! Not usually a fan of cross-species ones, but I have to say, even the back story had me hooked! And when Ryan mentioned starting a family, and reminding Hermione about Ron, I was cooing so much!

Wow, it has been awhile since I have read a story this well written. Your characters are all entirely believable, and your plot line is unique, probable, and captivating. I love the fact that though this story does not take place during Dumbledore's years at Hogwarts, it reflects back upon them in an easy to understand way. Wonderful wonderful job.

I read your story in one sitting after being refered to it by an article at Fanfiction 101. I LOVED it - especially the line about Goyle, Sr. accusing Ryan of corrupting Gregory and Ryan's response.

Favourite scenes: Hermione with Ryan - I can just *see* her crush on him (right now, I have one too), and him being so dashing and cheeky and gorgeous about it.. oh!
Scary Parts: In a weird way, Goyle-with-Ryan scenes. I was scared for Ryan, I kept thinking Goyle was going to do something to him. Love what you did with ol' Greg, tho.
Parts I'm not nuts about:
- McGonagall - didn't really go anywhere and I was fairly freaked out by her animosity.
- The Event, and Ginny. I can see why it had to be there, of course, absolutely necessary for Happenings in the story... but it would have been fun if all this stuff also played a part in the end - though I do appreciate the common thread of blood and blood purity that you weaved in so beautifully.
Ultimate Moment: The administration of Veritaserum, and Ryan promising Heddy it was going to be OK for her and her kind. *HUGE APPLAUSE*
Coolest line: "Cygnus? ... But.. you're dead!"

Hey, you probably think I'm really weird reviewing this story nearly three years after completion, but what the heck...it's actually a pretty funny thing...

A few years back (before I'd heard of fanfiction.net, I didnt start going to this site until last summer) I was always surfing HP websites for fanfic. Well one day I found this story I really liked but it was only 4 chapters of it and it wasn't complete. Well I probably haven't been at that site in a couple years now. So about three days ago I was on fanfic.net trying to find a good story and this story popped into my head from no where. Unfortunately I couldn't remember the name though. So I went into 'find' and jotted a few words down that I thought might get me something along the lines of this story. Nope! So I tried it again. And WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW? OUT OF THE THOUSANDS OF HP STORIES ON THIS SITE I HAPPENED TO FIND A STORY WHOSE TITLE I COULDN'T EVEN REMEMBER? WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? I figured there was no more o the story anyway!

Anyway, since then I managed to finish your story...GREAT! It's definitely going in my fav list!

I really like the originality of this story. I find I often don't like stories that center around a made-up character but this one is great. It kept me anxious for the chance to finish, I'll tell you that much! Excellent! Bloody Brilliant!

Yeah, so, this story is incredibly old, but I thought my words might be appreciated anyway.

You are one amazingly talented writer. Your story rivals Rowling's in its plots, complexity, and characters. The basis may be hers, but you really have created a story entirely your own.

This was incredible. I simply couldn't put this down for a minute. Your characters were very real, I could imagine all of them perfectly in my head. Everything about this story was just about perfect- from the overall plot to each little tiny detail that made this story what it is. From the silly school banter to the frightening death eater rites, it was all wonderfully written, very engaging, and really fun to read.

All right, I'll attempt to answer your questions at the end, even though I don't _really_ believe you're going to read this. Inactive authors seem to me to never still be around ff.n.

favourite moment? the letter from Ryan's girlfriend (can't remember her name.) a touch of human about the whole business. romance in the face of such dark plots. a really refreshing breath of air amid all the stinking slytherins.

Least favourite scene? I confess I skimmed almost every part where Ryan was reacting to some test or other of Lucius'..

Why? ..got so old. So tired of reading about how clever or not clever Lucius and Ryan were.. I just wanted to skip onto the action. And when Lucius found out the truth, *that's* when I really sat up and went, hey, scenes with those two can be really great!

Was there anything incredibly surprising? oh yeah, the entire fic long. LOL. but I take it you mean the *most* surprising thing.. hmm *ponders* I suppose.. that I never would have expected Lucius to actually figure it out.. even when Ryan got all worried after Draco's conversation with him, I still thought Ryan would wiggle his way out somehow.. I practically dropped dead when Lucius chained him up.. lol.

Anything you just don’t get? nah, you did a great job explaining. especially about all that Anvasse stuff you made up. awesome. just like rowling.

When were you the most worried? erm, during the climax, certainly.. prolly when he was running away on the horse. adrenaline really pumping there ;0

What do you think will happen now? draco will turn good and marry ginny! (j/k)

I have to pick a favorite scene? That is too creul! Anyways, I know I found this really late, and I know I didn't read it until well afterwards, but I do like it. It's very well crafted. It's got a plot. The plot's going somewhere, and it doesn't involved unnecessary turns and twists and reversals. It's got life. Not clunky, just barely getting there story telling, but a smooth rhythm, an ebb and flow, to it. It is not mechanical, but it is as living as a story involving such a woodland creature should be. Good story. Thanks.
