What a lovely story, Isabeau. I remember you from HASA, and I see that you're now writing DA:O fiction. Fantastic! :)

How nice to find an Imrahil story! And one told from a new perspective makes it all the lovelier. I really do need to check out your stories as I know there are several I haven't read and that you write very well.

One thing I would point out (and since this is an older one of your stories, you may have sorted this issue by now and don't need telling this) - you have a tendency during this story to put one person's actions with another person's words, which is confusing for the reader. For example:

"Why is that?" I frowned, for he had touched upon a very sore point.

"Because the Steward wouldn't allow it! He made all the men who were old enough stay to defend the City. Father doesn't know anything about fighting! He's going to die! I hate the Steward!"

- "Why is that?" seems to be what Luthien is saying as she is frowning, but then as we continue into the next paragraph it is apparent it was Aragorn speaking. There are several instances of this and it throws the reader off. They read along and then have to backtrack when they realize it isn't making sense.

Other than that, I don't see much wrong with your writing.

Will try to get some of the other stories read soon and post reviews.

You write such a kind and sweet Imrahil! Nice how this story ties with Captain, my Captain.

Aaw, I love this! I really do have an obsession with serious one-shots. Especially with minor characters or OCs.

This was lovely, Isabeau! Luthien was so charming, and Imrahil so noble. A lovely tale that speaks of what few think of - the price of war beyond the death of soldiers. Well done.

Oh, I'm so excited, this is the first time that I have actually read an Imrahil story on , and I've loved him ever since my first reading of ROTK. I can't wait to read your work!

Felt like reviwing... not too early! Well, I've already told you how all your writing is wonderful. As for this particular story, it's just so peaceful, and rings very true. And the way you write about Denethor comes so very well after what was done to him in the film. Keep the good work!

That was wonderful...I am just hoping that RotK inspires you to write some more about Hethling and EOMER'S soon to be relationship .

What a wonderful original character, so in-keeping with Tolkien's world! I adore this story, and reading something canonical after seeing the travesty that was the Return of the King movie was just what I needed. Thank you! Please, don't stop writing!

This is as beautiful as all your other work - I'm deeply envious at your ability to write such wonderful short pieces as well as your lovely lyrical epics.

How wonderful, such an interesting moment in time. So amusing that this young girl is unaware of the honor in the gift of her name. An Imrahil, what can I say, aside from the elves he has been my favorite character from my first reading of the books. There is just something so wonderful about him and you've captured it well.
Thanks for the excellent read.
