Damnit, you are actually warming me up to the concept of Q/Picard! (I've always had a disconnect in my head between the young lively Picard of the flashbacks and the throughly unattractive starched present day Picard, especially after he soulsucked the spirit out of Beverly)

Please don't stop. This series is wonderfully written, and I want to find out what happens next.

I can't tell you how glad I am to see a new story in this series. And this is a dandy re-introduction. It brings back, forcefully, the emotions of previous chapters I haven't read in quite some time. Q's voice (as usual, in your writing) is clear and in character, and his emotions are all-too-easy to empathize with.
