This is the most wonderfully in-character fanfiction I have ever read. That is all.

Simply LOVELY~! You have captured all the tragic love and passion from Basil, and the naive selfishness of Dorian...! And I needn't mention how, though he was only present for the last bit, perfectly you got Henry's faint possessive nature...I love it...

Hello, I have recently been attempting to write a Dorian Gray fanfic of my own, having enjoyed the book during my degree in English Literature...and for inspiration decided to visit this site to see if anyone had already had my idea. I really enjoyed reading this, it was really well written and could almost have actually been in the novel (though Oscar Wilde would never have been allowed to publish it if he had..) So yeah, I just wanted to say I think this is great. I used to put things up on fanfiction myself but that was about 8 years ago and I'd like to think my writing's got a bit more sophisticated since then!

This was really good! I've just read the book so came on fanfiction to see if there was anything on it and I find brilliant writing.

Really, Lord Henry is a lecherous hump. He made me so mad in Oscar Wilde's novel, and your rendition of him has made me just as annoyed with him. Well done on capturing the character. I think I would actually like his character more if he didn't have such a sway over Dorian.

I feel so terrible for Basil. He was my favorite character (beside Dorian, oddly enough), and I was so sad when Dorian murdered him.

I honestly think they both would have been better off without Lord Henry...and better off if Basil had been a bit more bold with Dorian. Unconventional and living in secrecy in London? Maybe...but happier for it? I think so.

Wow. First of all, your style is so much akin to Wilde's I'd think you know the guy! Haha. Everything about this peice is exceptionally beautiful. I think the world that comes to mind when reading this is "graceful"...but I don't know. I can't think too well after the shock I recieved towards the end. Marvelous. I love this book, and the pairing is so wonderful

If it could be said that there is a Picture of Dorian Gray 'fandom' ... I am officially in love with it, because it holds gems such as this. Thank you for sharing, and I'm sorry that I don't have anything to say about this that differs from the rave reviews you've already received (and deserve).

Although I loved the plot twist and had always thought Basil loved Dorian, I don't think this is the kind of thing Dorian would do. I never thought he was really all that bad- it's all Harry's fault! But the dialogue was perfect! Everything they said had that characteristic wit that Oscar Wilde wsa so proud of and famous for. Nice job on that.

You've probably heard this enough from all of the other reviews for this story, but it was absolute genius. I think the only reason Oscar Wilde didn't include your scene was because he would have been stoned to death by an indignant Victorian crowd. This fanfiction is perfect.

I swear I had a very similar idea the other day, but actually write it because I'm not good enough, and I didn't want to ruin the PoDG section (which exists now, and you should move it)
BUT YOU KLDFJKLDSJ so much better than I hoped for. The language, the characters, the PAIRING~ The ending killed me, but in a good way. Congratulations, you've managed to make me favorite a story out of the vocaloid fandom.
