Y'know, I really should be kicking my own ** for not having commented on this when I first read it. I can't remember when I first read it, but I loved it now as much as I did then.

I have to agree with Cirocco, though. Your writing can be a bit realistic, and even though it was Lennie feeling that he was insignificant and should've retired (along with the scene where Ed gets shot) -- coupled with "C.O.D." and Jerry Orbach's passing on 12/28/04 -- I guess it tugs at the heartstrings to read this.

Well done :) I coulda done without the last Ed scene - you write a liittle too realistically for me to maintain an emotional distance from it. It's not often that I blurt "Oh my god!" at my screen ::shiver::
And um... ::snicker:: Lennie getting into the Christmas spirit. That's an image that boggles the mind :)
