Aw. This is just such a sweet story. It's delightful to see young Faramir not only enjoying a happy occasion, but amidst a happy and far more normal family than his father and brother can give him.

Faramir's seems to have a quiet little crush on his aunt; which is not surprising. And Nimrien's cheerful, companionable care of him, while treating him like a worthy young person instead of a child, is just what he needs. I loved it that she insisted on giving him a suit of Dol Amroth blue instead of black, with silver trim - he probably looked gorgeous, not that he would notice...

Imrahil's return, and Boromir's visit, are definitely the icing on this holiday cake...

I'd love to see more stories of young Faramir in Dol Amroth.
