A lovely story! I think one of the things I'm enjoying most this holiday season are the raft of new GaMM fics out there. Here and I thought I was the only one who was enchanted by that series. Thank you for proving me wrong.

I'm so thrilled you finally managed to crack this one, I can't tell you! It's a very faithful variation on "Gift of the Magi", while retaining the distinct flavor of "Ghost and Mrs. Muir". The amount of detail and texture you manage to incorporate in your stories simply astounds me --and this one is no different! You also have a great gift for capturing the "voices" of the characters, making them come to vivid life with each sentence. I hope you keep eavesdropping on the Captain and Carolyn (and all the goings-on at Gull Cottage) for a long time to come!
