Ooh! Nice job. I just finished watching a rerun of the episode On Spike Network. It was nice to have a fic to savor the story with.

BEST SHOW EVER! Glad that someone wrote a fic about it! Great. I never realized how out of character that scnee was, I was too caught up in James Bond world to really be smart about it. So happy you noticed it. This makes a lot of sense. You might've mentioned something about Jadzia in there, since you know Bond and Bashir are both all about saving the girl

Nice companion story to one of my favorite episodes. :-)

Though your rewrite is articulate and well thought out, you don't seem to be taking into account a fact which was revealed after the "Our Man Bashir" episode . Early in the following season, we discovered that Dr.Bashir is genetically enhanced. His reflexes are better than human, and better than most other species as well. I believe that he lied to Garak about intending to kill him, and hit Garak in an area which he knew would not cause real harm. This justifies Julian's medical code, and allows him to carry out this action without guilt or fear of actually harming Garak. There was no real danger. He(secretly) knew exactly what he was doing.

A nice view of the kinder, gentler Bashir. :0) One doesn't always want one's sweet little doctor corrupted, and stories like this let us keep him young and innocent.

Great story! It wasn't so much the story, but more the way you wrote it, so I could really see that Julian didn't want to kill or hurt anyone, it was very well writen, and it did keep the good doctor in character. Very impressive!
