I know it’s been a good while since you’ve written this story, but I’ve just found it (as well as “In the Blood” and “A Number of Other Things”) . Thank you, it made me laugh. And you convinced me to read Val McDermid’s books.

Oh boy, this is like a Heavenly Crime Cocktail! Crossover between CSI and Wire in the Blood? Qickedly brilliant!

I'm a CSI fan (or were, before TPTB started messing things up) but I absolutely loved Wire. Ah...Tony, a younger Grissom with British accent and a psychologist to boot!

Tony...ah.

You've successfully managed to make me wish for a real CSI/WitB crossover! I was a little dubious at first, as I am of all crossovers, but once I started reading I fell for it. And I'm going to be wishing for the real thing forever, because it's never going to happen :( This story is amazingly in character. You blow me away with your Carol and Tony characterisations, they're perfect, and I love seeing a relaxed Sara and a far more relaxed Grissom too. And it's funny! I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through. The mix of British and American works well! Really nice job, I love it.

This was great. I have to admit I'm more a WItB fan than a CSI afficieanado.
Tony. That explains it all.
Anyway, please keep writing. I've read several of your WItB fics in the past two days.
Head colds are good for something, even if that something is reading fan fiction.

p.s.
Do you know where I could find other WItB fiction? I've looked around a bit and can't seem to find much.

I really loved this story, and the one before it. I'd never heard of Tony or Carol (or the rest of the WitB crew) before I started reading "In the Blood." Thanks to you (and BBC America) I am now a WitB nut. Every Saturday night I'm tuned in. And the way you wrote the characters matches the shows perfectly. I haven't read any of the books, but I'm going to have to start looking for them. Good job, Coolbyrne. I hope to hear more from Tony and Carol soon.

Got to have Don deliver it! Really! Maybe when Las Vegas gets 6 inches of snow? HINT! Loved the story. But, TAG, you are still it!

a wonderful ending to a wonderful story... good, solid cross-overs are so hard to find, and this one was just perfect. The case file was captivating and the characterizations spot on. I just hope they're all gonna make a come back soon enough in another fic of yours...

I really enjoyed this story--I was literally transported into Tony and Carol's universe by your skillful storytelling. Bloody good. I feel as if I know the characters now even though I am unfamiliar with the books. (Wish I had BBC America now!) Your knowledge of the characters really shines through. Also loved the little G/S interaction there at the end ... sweet yet in character. Let me add my voice to those requesting a little epilogue to this wonderful story. Hope to see more stories with Tony and Carol and company, perhaps in Vegas?

Oh, good, ff.net has decided I didn't review this chapter after all. Great story. I am amazed at how smoothly you maange a crossover. I think the case wrapped up nicely, not too quickly at all. I loved reading a story where Sara is appreciated by people she works with (CSI writers should take note), but you left me hungry for more interaction between Grissom and Sara at the end. Could I maybe anticipate a sequel?

coolbyrne, I agree with papiliondae. This is one of your best. Although, I'm really not ready to say bye to Tony and Carol yet. I wish you'd keep writing them. Send the chapters directly to me, if you must. :)
Everyone else, if you're torn on whether to dive into a new series of novels, do the three Tony and Carol books of Val McDermid's. coolbyrne introduced them to me with her first fic and I sped through them. I haven't regretted getting hooked.
