Great one chapter story, and it was very well written and emotional as well. As I read it, part of me began to cry because I was so sad and it is very strange for me, seeing as how I am a huge optimistic person. Well, it was a great story anyway and perfect for the Christmas season. I will make sure to read your other stories too and I have read the book "An Acceptable Time" by Madeline L'Engle. It was a really lovely one-shot, though, sad, but lovely. Very touching as well... I had tears in my eyes throughout the whole thing.
