I absolutely love saracstic rejoiners used as a sign of affection. And this story has some absolutely brilliant turns of phrase for just this purpose. I also really liked the bit where you used repetition to great effect. (Somehow, she had managed to get past his defenses…seemingly without trying. Somehow, she had caused him to think of something other than wormwood and asphodel. Somehow she had wormed her way into his heart with her many annoyingly wondrous qualities.) But my favourite bit is this: '...he wished she would cease with the singing of carols. She was off-key and out of tempo, a disastrous combination.'

Aw. A tensy winsy bit too mushy for my tastes but really stinking funny and cute.

::chuckles:: Very witty. Severus is cute. Hermione is funny. The fic is awesome. I love it. Especially the "she has had her inner eye on your for some time" line. LOL. Great job.

Heh, I love that line about McGonagall being rather literal about spreading yuletide cheer. I'd like to see mroe stories from you with the SS/HG pairing. You're an awesome writer.

Your portrayal of Severus and Hermione in this short story were very well done (as per usual for you), and you managed to give your readers a love story without an overabundance of fluff or a terribly out of sync Severus, and you avoided the pitfall of making Hermione suddenly glamourous and sleek-haired (a trap I, unfortunately have found myself falling into).
