Very good but should you rather use the period names for the days of the week...

Quote from Wikipedia"Tuesday is considered either the second or the third day of the week, between Monday and Wednesday. The word "Tuesday" comes from Middle English Twisday, from Old English Tiwes dæg, a rendering of Latin Martis dies. The English and Scandinavian names are derived from the Nordic god Tyr (in Old English, Tiw, Tew or Tiu. In Swedish, Tisdag, Danish: Tirsdag, Finnish: Tiistai and in Norwegian: Tirsdag, Icelandic: Þriðjudagur.) Tyr was the Norse equivalent of the Roman war god Mars, hence Martis dies ("Mars's day")."

the normans would use either Martis die or Tirsday. the saxons Twisday.
thought it might help you out

Ok... I finally read it. ^_^ I'll tell you my lasting opinions tomorrow, okay? I loved it though. But... YOU KILLED ALAIN! (EVIL EVIL GLARE)

Graham: Stupid.

-.- Oh, well. I suppose that killing him is nicer than what SOME people do to him. (Why is Noa/Duke so popular? *sob* Poor Noa-yan... poor Ryuu-chan... MEAN MEAN PEOPLE!! And HOW many times do I have to tell people that it's impossible for Noa and Mokuba to have sex?! DOES MOKUBA EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS!?!?!?!? AH!)

Great story! I know it's been a while since you finished -must have been a great relief- but I've been very busy and the day I reveiwed earlier I was cut off from reveiwing again, so here I am now.

Very happy for you right now!

I've had that first part of the story you challenged me to write done for months now, I'm hoping I can post it for you soon. I think you'll like it, it has your requirments.

Oh! The big battle is coming soon. And Robert talked with Yami. I found that part rather funny for some odd reason. I've been gone for a while so now I have to catch up on reviews!

Golden:*dumbfounded* Wow.

Silver: Fantastic. It wouldn't be too difficult to "de-Yugioh-ize" this, I'd say.

Golden: In the words of the Danes... you had the soldiers all die well. Beowulf would have been proud.

Silver: You're letting your pagan side show, little Hikari.

Golden: And thank goodness it was a false message of excommunication, although that was the filfthiest trick ever.

...You made me cry. This is...astonishing. I have never, ever, cried during a fanfiction before...I suppose I should say something about the amazing characterizations, the remarkable historical accuracy, and the seamless blending of fact and fiction... but I just can’t get over the crying... You are truly a wonderful author.

So... you managed to finish this in time... *glances at her one-shot* ... ^^;;

Heartbreaking end, but I'm sure you know that without me telling... . . . Sorry, the truth is that I'm way too tired now... Some day, when I have time and I'm not dead, I'm going to read this fic through from the beginning, and then I'll give you a proper review. ^^ Believe me, it'll happen - there have been so long pauses in my reading of this that I'm not sure if I remember everything that happened earlier... and anyway, that way I'll get a better... overall picture of this fic. ...right now nothing happens in my brain...

Yeah... I managed to find fifteen minutes to review this, so here goes.

If it's possible for one to love sorrow, I love this more every time I read it. You've created such a complex world to demonstrate that AU isn't just the bland assignment of standard characters to parallel roles in modified settings. The way everything slowly pieces together - character by character - is heart-stopping at the end. (Literally, too, but that's not what I meant.) Intertwining it with poetry was a stroke of brilliance. I had shivers running down my spine when everything faded away in the end.

The emotion that dominates Simple and Clean is, in my opinion, loneliness. Despite the ending, I somehow think that loneliness overpowers fear, weakness, loss, oppression, or failure. That's strange because it isn't the main struggle of any of the characters. They all seemed very... isolated. In their own lives with their own problems, despite a universal struggle. It invoked loneliness. Maybe I've missed the point entirely. I'd love to discuss it some more on IM.

^^ This is what I should have done all along: criticize in the beta notes and praise in the reviews. Well, here ya go. I'm honored to be the first person to review your fic in all of its completed glory... though I AM the beta... but still. I was honored to be the beta, too. And honored to - aw, heck! This is the real deal, baby! (bows)

By the way, how does the title fit in? Was the phrase "simple and clean" ever mentioned at all? Not that it matters. Just curious.

Cyneheard! ^_^

It's a shame he hates being loved. He's got loads of admirers, such as meh.

Annoying berserkers. They were known for biting their wooden shields which made their gums bleed, making them drool blood, which was a red froth. So you kinda would be scared... Everybody be scared 'o them.

*hugs Cyneheard* A hero, and mature for his age. I wonder why he doesn't like being loved...he loved all those fans in Current Life Seto Kaiba. That Seto loved the cheer of the fans, during the colluseum thing with Yugi there were virtual people screaming KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA KAIBA!

And he loved the praise in the beginning of the manga too. The little boys are screaming, "GO KAIBA!", or,"YOUR THE BEST SETO KAIBA!", stuff like that.

Cynewulf!

P.S. Sorry I've not been online at the guild or on AIM lately. But I did R&R your fanfic so that counts for something right?

*grin* Why do I like the barrel so much? The miraculous barrel... big enough for, say, a house-carl. Cyneheard's innocent prey... Yes. *nods* I can tell you that this is my favorite barrel from now on. (And you can probably tell that I'm ... should I say 'tired'? ^^;)

"Perhaps, he thought, sinking, Cynewulf would become a monk. If so, it was truly a pity..."

*nods again, fiercely* A very great pity. ...Mokuba... monk... those words really don't rhyme. (Okay, so there is some alliteration, but that doesn't count.)

"You're going to hate being loved."
"Nnk..."
"Exactly."

Aww... Our dear Cyneheard will be loved... but then again, he was that already. *glomp* ^^ (Cyneheard... 'noble shepherd'... *lol* That'd be quite... interesting. ^^ What I think when I see that name is 'cynic heart'...)

"If I'm not here when Cynewulf arrives, tell him that he may not become a monk."

*nods* Good thing that he takes care of his lil' brother. Good boy, CH. *still glomping him*

"you should already know what happens next" ... ^^;; Am I excused? I'm not English, so it shouldn't be _that_ horrible if I don't know English history... right? Right...? Oh well, it was worth trying... (And lol at the history books... I wonder how many 'brief history' books there are in the world, I have a feeling that I've seen quite many for different countries. They could use a little imagination...)

Anyway, I very muchly like this fic. And I am very muchly in the need for sleep right now, so... g'night.
