I've read this twice, and I can't believe I forgot to review! *bangs her head on the table* Anyway, this was a really awesome story, especially for me, because I'm not exactly what you'd call the world's most devoted Nightwing fan-in fact, I'm just the opposite (don't hate me for it... it comes from watching too much of the sixties series) :P

Really powerful stuff here. It's a little shorter than I might have wanted, but I didn't need it to be any longer. (Yes, I used those words on purpose.) I also really loved the way you stressed the difference between need and want, and what that meant for Dick.

Well I don't know what Bruce *wants or *needs but I know I both wanted and needed this filler to the Year One story line! Your take on these characters are the best anywhere! Thanks for a great read!

Awwww. *sniff* That was very sweet. Not often we get to see a more 'human' side of the Bat (taht's not Bruce being an idiot) in the comics, so it's nice to see him written so well elsewhere. I thought it was very in keeping with Dick's character that he wouldn't listen to Bruce to begin with... had to get a few good punches in first. :)

you did it to me again. might not have agreed with everything, but still enjoyed the story, and got that throat lump you usually give me.
