QueenTatooine 2005-07-17 . chapter 1An interesting view. I wonder though, would Nick have realized that the life of a man paralyzed could still be filled with laughter, hope and children? LaCroix seems to have found him in a moment of weakness. Unfair. Ah well, nice one shot.

Azmidiske 2004-05-13 . chapter 1haha, oh man what an end. FINNALY turning mortal only to loose it again right afterwords, by choice. Silly, Silly Nick. I cant beleive i found a forever Knight story either, surprised the hell out of me. well done. |
jschu25 2004-04-05 . chapter 1This story makes me want to watch the series again, it seem so long since it was on Tv. I think you did a great job on Nick & Natalie, but I don't remember LaCriox, it's been almost 10 years since I saw my last episode, but I'm sure you did a great job. If nothing else he appears to be the typical vampire sire. Too bad Nick is to weak to face real human problems. jschu25 |
Arkaidy 2004-03-08 . chapter 1You know, I always agreed with you. As much as Nick whines for the light, it's obvious that he could never adjust to being human. He couldn't deal with being vulnerable, or helpless. He'd turn into a paranoid wreck. If not worried about LaCroix or the Others, then it would be about randomly stepping off a curb at the wrong time, or his children doing the same. He would be a fantastic father and husband, I don't doubt that. But I think he's better suited to the life of a Nightwalker who takes in orphans. If he could solve the problem of the Others taking advantage of the 'corral' of kiddies around, he'd be very happy with eternity, I think.
It really is a pity that the show ended the way it did, but really, what other ending was there? He couldn't become mortal for the very reasons cited herein. He couldn't become 'evil' again, because that would be a betrayl of the character. He could either go on whining for the rest of eternity (in the words of another Gerrient Wyn Davies vampire, "Boring!") or he could die.
I'm really not surprised it was at the hands of LaCroix. Anyway you look at it, homosexual or just paternally, LaCroix was the person Nick loved most in the world, next to his sister and nephew perhaps. Who else could do it for him?
I was just sad to Nat, Screed, and Vachon go. And, dammit, I wanted Tracey to find out!! |
LastScorpion 2004-02-22 . chapter 11995, huh? I think I remember this one. It's lovely -- the ending is perfect, and your LaCroix is wonderful. Thanks for putting it up! |
Sabrina 2004-01-18 . chapter 1 Very nice. The flow's a little off, but that's probably due to the constraints of a one-shot. Your concept is very, very good. I'd never thought about it, but of course Nick has always relied upon his vampiric powers and invulnerability. Just because he believes he wants to be human again, doesn't outweigh 800 years of having gone without human weaknesses. I simply wish the story didn't end so soon!
Your author page implied you'd written other "Forever Knight" fanfics. Are any of those archived elsewhere? Have you thought of posting them also? |
MaryRose 2004-01-15 . chapter 1Oh man! How sad. Good job. |
