I have to admit that I don't read much fanfiction that deals with Connor as the main character (I'm a Methos and/or/ Gregor Powers fanfic reader) but I have to say that this is very good! I can picture Connor saying these things, and you have definitely kept his character in context :D

Very good, nicely written. I can feel the weight of Connor's years in your writing.
Leave it to a kid to pull you out of your melancholy. He just needs his kids right now--Rachel and John and maybe a little recharge from the Highlands.
I hope you do expand this idea into a full blown story--maybe with a little appearance by Duncan and Tessa and then Alex comes along . . . lol
