Pointers? Ok... You might want to try separating independant clauses with commas. You have run-on sentences, And some times the word order is a bit jumbled. Remember about pronoun agreement. They refer to the last noun, and even if using a pronoun sounds in place of the noun sounds a bit repetitive, it is grammatically correct.

It was really good, you know, with Dawn being the one to basically make the first move; girls in stories should do that more often. But here's a thought...how about another story??
