Mira is an interesting character. Don't just insert her into scenes transcribed from the book or movie, ok? Mira is cool, she deserves better than that- she deserves her own scenes with original dialogue. I like the Mira/Faramir dynamic very much!! Your completely original scenes, like the ones with Dumbledore and later with Faramir, are really great!

But why did Gandalf hit her over the head? And now they're buddies?

Hmm...quite a pity. I love all Faramir fics, except Faramir/OC fics. Furthermore, your writing is wonderful, I quite like you style. Really is a pity, because I think your writing skills can be put the good use with Faramir/Eowyn fics. But then again, to each her own...best of luck to you with this fic!
P.S: Who cares if your character is a marysue? A well written marysue does not equals to bad writing!
