This is an excellent story. Good development of the Sofia character. And Jack's great, as always.
I'm anxious for the next chapter! Jack will rescue her then, won't he? I'm hoping that this is a romance as well as an action/adventure and drama :)

Wow...this is so good! Really! I love how you've portrayed the legend of Mary Celeste. I've heard many theories, but never that one. I love it, and I love Sofia's character! This piece is excellently written, with realistic dialogue, a flowing tempo and true-to-form characters. A rare thing, if ever I saw one. And two thumbs up for incorporating history into fiction. It's not done often enough! Kudos!
