Wow, this is basically the polar opposite of how I envisioned the mutiny going... but I must say, it works! Kudos for a great story, even if I like Barbossa far too much to hope it happened this way ;o)

That's pretty good. It was inventive and I liked it but I wish you'd expounded on why the dress was so important a little more. I do like Catherine though, not quite a pirate name but somehow appropriate.

That was absolutely beautiful. I had an idea quite similar (concerning the fate of the dress’s owner) but I’ll have to abandon it. This is haunting, wonderfully true to character, and beautifully descriptive. You are very talented.

Man, oh, man that was awesome. I found this while surfig for proof that Barbossa's name was Hector, and I find this instead. Lena, I salute you. You're magic. I love this. Very nicely done.

I must say that I am skeptical when I think of movie related fanfiction. However, Airelle does not disappoint.

She manages to give the borrowed characters plausible dialogue with appropriate diction that doesn't ring as clichéd, which is a danger when dealing with someone like Sparrow, where the temptation to throw in a catch phrase of his or coin a new one in strictest adherence to his style can be great. The original character is quite believable, is a nice focus, and, most importantly, serves her purpose to neatly answer the question raised in the epigraph of the fic.

It's sappy, yes, but it didn't ring as empty or insincere. A pleasant little read. Keep up the good work!

Wow, this was great. Everything you write is so convincing and realistic. You can always get the characters (of movies, books etc.) down just right, and there is so much to them all. Even in a single chapter story such as this one. Great writing!

Wow!! I have to say it, this is absolutely amazing!! Really well written, with good dialogue, and the flashbacks were great!! You've added to the history of each of the characters. And brought something different to the story. this is very original, and i'm glad i found it!! Great fic!!
