Awesome chapter. Sorry this is going to be a short review (just to warn you). I got a kick out of Faramir and his men's reactions to female elven warriors. I always thought elves would put a more equal weight between the sexes. I am also glad to see that Gimli and Legolas are finding ways of getting the other through this ordeal. The final battle scene was intense and the cliffy was evil. Very evil! I hope she dies (not wanting to sound blood thirsty or anything but I still want her dead!)

hi. your story is good, but it isnt exactlywhat i would like because, sauron was destroyed, as was the ring. i am a ring purist, you know. and whatever you may say, elves do not sell themselves to sauron . and you cannot take away an elves immortalness, you can only kill them in battle. your story is very sad, and i dont really like sad ones, but you certainly describe battles really well please remember that legolas and gimli and gandalf and frodo and sam survived to go to vaonor and then merry eomer pippin and aragorn died peacefully, not in war.

Sorry it took me so long to review. Life has been busy... very busy. Anyway this was another very intense chapter. I hope Gimli and Legolas save Aragorn because when the three of them are together they can do amazing things. Can't wait to read the next chapter.

Another excellent chapter. I hope Eomer just slaps Faramir a few times to get the steward back to his normal self... but I guess in the face of certain death keeping optimistic would be difficult. I am glad everyone who remains seems to be uniteing against mordor now and that Thranduil might redeem himself from his earlier actions in 'Fear'. I also hope you let Gimli get better soon - I love that dwarf!
Anyway - cannot wait for the next installment!

Wow - Legolas and Gimli practically attacking each other... even knowing they were under some evil influence didn’t stop the shock of that scene. Knowing how close they become made it painful to see them at each others throats. Anyway - loved how you brought Shelob’s attacks to life. She was great in RotK and the cat and mouse game she was playing the Legolas and Gimli here did her justice. Well done. Poor Sam. I could really feel his despair. I hope something goes right for our characters soon!

I am so sorry I was not here to review and support you immediately... I unfortunately did not notice you had updated and if you had told me earlier I had forgotten... anyway - so sorry - but I am here now and that is the important thing! I am so glad the sequel/continuation of your original story is finally here since you left us in such a tense situation last time. I had to go back and sort of scan over the last story just to refresh myself for this one!
Poor Eomer. I could feel his restlessness and helplessness in the beginning of this chapter. I cannot imagine how hard it would be for them to simply wait. Not nice at all. Still I have faith in Aragorn... if he said wait then it is best they do so. Poor Gimli! I would be so afraid. I loved your descriptions in this section. They just brought the scene to life. At least Legolas and Gimli are now together... those two are quite the team... I will hold to hope as long as they are together!

Good start although it's a bit ambiguous in places - you say "he" and it takes a while to work out who you're on about. Apart from that, v. good.
