Just saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas a few days ago. Couldn't help but think of this fic. Your adaptation is fantastic, and sadly has a style and calibre that is far too stylish for the average fanfiction crowd. People who enjoy fanfiction, enjoy Final Fantasy VI, enjoy Hunter S. Thompson and his style, and can withstand the combination of all these things are so very rare it's not surprising (though depressing) that you are writing to a minute audience.

But if there's any more story to post, you have at least one loyal reader here.

Ah well. It always ends with the ether, doesn't it?

Ah yes, the much-anticipated sixth chapter! Glad to see Lothar hasn't lost the FF6 crew already. He makes a very nice anti-hero.

Excellent story. I think you picked a good candidate for a narrative style to model. Can't wait to see what happends to poor Lothar next. Perhaps Sabin might beat some sense into Zen for terrorizing Terra and Celes? I'd hate to have the whole FF6 crew gone already.

This series is so cool! You write as if there's a tumbler full of the most exquisite vocabulary sitting right next to your pen, spilling out seemingly random diction selections that always seem to fit just right. Give us more!

I like the originality of this idea, not the same old thing. And the writing is very good. I don't buy the Leo/Celes suggestion you're making here; nothing at all in the game to support it, and I think it spoils the plot a little. In the game, for Celes, it was Locke all the way. But except for that, this is shaping up well and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
