Gizenshi 2008-12-02 . chapter 21
Just finished reading it, took me several days to do so and I feel lucky. This probably is the longest fanfic I've read. There have been other long ones, but none of them have lived up to the expectations. This was enjoyable from the first lines to the last, and the story and writing just... made me happy (except the twists in the storyline when my heart broke, but that was a pleasurable sort of pain). And, well, thank you. A lot.

this fic is too heavy with unecessary words and moments that doeasn't have any impact with the plot. The size of one chapter is like a fic itself. And when i finaly read the last word, i realized that only a few informations in the chapter where useful to advance in the story and the rest of it was nothing but useless description. My eyes hurt.
Emmeline is infuriatingly nosy and i want to punch her. Her character is so ...Ugh!
I read this last year, and i though i'd continue where i left, the fic in general is not bad, and you style is okay,or more than okay but frankly...
And there is Ron, after everything you wrote about him, he is awful and you make the reader hate him.He was unfair and all...But then suddenly, boom! you solve the problem, partially just by saying that well, they weren't the same but it was okay...Duh!
the whole chapter was frustrating, frustrating and FRUSTRATING!
The relationship between harry and Draco was very interesting to me, but at this stage they act like idiots and are extremely ridiculous.
I wanted to tell you that only 1/4 of this chapter contained something useful to the plot and the story itself. The rest was useless words to fill in the blanks and description that lead to nowhere.

Hey that's me again ! A little Frenchie with a liking for good wine and, of course, for a sexy French-speaking Draco Malfoy! I've eventually read your wonderful story till the end, and i just wanted to say 'thank you' for it because i guess everyone's already told you how amazing you girls are !

I started to read this story 2 or 3 years ago but, although i liked it very much, i didn't manage to finish it because English is not my native language. Now that i'm older and that my English is far better than before (and i also have to thank you for that, i've learned tons of words through your fic)i was able to enjoy the sheer talent of your writing ! You've got so original ideas guys ! And guess what, i love the story of Tristan and Iseult ! It was really appropriate to reference to this tale because sad love stories are always very romantique.
And i love your epilogue ! God i love Maggie ! I was hoping Harry would aodpt her since the day their first met (and i so badly wanted to hex Oliver's balls off !)

And it's great that your ending is so positive. When i read about Doyle and Devon, i surprised myself to wear that same knowing smile as Emmaline's. See, now i think i'm a part of the story myself, and that's a thrilling sensation !
There's no way i'll ever forget this story (which has already been in my favourtite story list for years)and i'm even going to read over and over again !

J'espère pouvoir lire un jour une autre de vos superbes histoires (btw where did u learn French? it's funny coz as for me, spoken English is a turn-on too) lol

Bravo et Merci ! bye bye

Elle the Brat 2008-08-04 . chapter 21
You know, I... I'm at a loss for words, over here.

I've been reading this story for the better part of three days, and I gotta say, it was so worth ditching my cousin's birthday party to finish it. I loved the story in its entirety, but the end with Devon and Argyle just. It was fantastic.

I love how the story ended with the start of another. It shows that the world doesn't revolve around only a certain set of people; that everyone has their own tale to tell.

I loved how throughout the story, I was only able to come to realisations when the characters themselves were working things out. Of course, some not-so-subtle foreshadowing sometimes ensured that I could work out some things way before-hand, but it was still an enjoyable ride you took me on.

The wine. Did you plan that, from the very beginning? Enlightenment and wisdom, one being useless without the other, Harry and Draco each being one, et cetera? Because that was just brilliant.

There are so many things I loved about this story, but it's hard to actually pin-point what they are. So many small things, you know? Sentence structure, the flow of words, characterisation...

Continuity.

It was amazing, the way you would introduce a character in one chapter, and them BAM! There they were in a different chapter, furthering the plot once again.

On the topic of characters, I also loved your OCs. People don't give OCs enough love, because they've been stereotyped so badly as Sues or Stus. All of the OCs in this - and there were quite a few - were all well-rounded, enjoyable to read about, and were just fantastic in and of themselves.

The plot was awesome as well, and I do believe I've fallen in love with Jean Paul and Emmaline's characters.

There is just so much I can say about this story, but I don't think all of it will fit into a review box. I don't know if this site has a character limit, but I'm not about to risk having half of my gushing praise be cut off.

But, well. There's a reason why you have 1364 reviews, including this one. I guess people know what they like.

I get the feeling I'm going to be re-reading this story over the next few years. It's one of those things that would survive time well, if given the chance.

Wow. That was amazing!
When I first found this story, I stayed up until around three in the morning reading it, then had to go catch a plane. For an entire week, I was cursing the fact that I hadn't had time to finish it before losing access to my computer for that week. Now I'm finally back and I got to finish it (practically the first thing I did after getting home).
I practically worship this story now. The amount of detail that you put into it was incredible, not to mention how realistic it somehow seemed. It's hard to pull off a believable H/D fic, but you definitely did.
Sensational job!

Wow, your story has left me with a smile on my face and happy feelings in my heart. The love that is released between Draco and Harry is on such a high emotional level, and made their relationship entirely believable. Almost none of this story was predictable, which just goes to show how wonderful and strong your writing style is. I've become emotionally attached to all of your characters, from Maggie, to Jean Paul, to Harry and Draco, which is a sign of powerful writing. I've absolutely loved this story, and will certainly return to read it again in the future.

Here, I am, reviewing again, despite my oh so firm resolve trying to keep me back!

Well, its not so much a review, as a comment letting you know just how addicted to this I'm getting!

I couldn't sleep, 'cause this was stuck in my head, and I realised that I was going to be without it for a week while I'm in Paris, so I got up at 2am and printed out most of this chapter, from teh March 23rd journal entry...

...that's forty-five pages! I'm surprised there was that much ink in the printer, the thingie was telling me I had none left at all!

And then, cailin maith that I am, I stayed up till 4:30am reading all that I had printed out!
It's bright out at 4am, in July, in Ireland, did you know that? I didn't.

And now its 10am, and there really isn't any ink left, and I'm sad 'cause I won't get to read this for a week!

8D

I am totally cool!

So I'm thanking you now for the awesome fic thats occupying most of my thoughts!

Ha!
I just knew this was going to happen eventually, and much as I enjoyed all their tiptoeing around, well, it's jsut not the same is it?

Oh, and I just love Swing When You're Winning!
=D

I've had to restrain myself from commenting on every chapter like this, which is what I usually do, knowing that I'd run out of things to say about this eventually, and that you probably don't read these anymore!
I'm ranting a bit now aren't I?

This story really is progressing so well, ro-mhaith!

I'ma just gonna read on a biteen...

This was an amazing love story--by far one of the best I've ever read. It felt like it took forever to read, yet I found myself unable to stop and would read it for hours straight. I easily read for 6-7 hours last night, and at least 4-5 tonight. Amazing job, and it's most definitely being added to my favorites.

I have been looking for this story for so long! I started reading it two years ago and never finished it. And then I couldn't find it again. :) I'm so excited to have found it because it's so brilliantly written!
