I loved it. I really don't think Buffy was is love with Spike. That doesn't mean it didn't tear her up to see him burn to ashen crisp in some God forsaken hellmouth.
Spike died for Buffy. I belive that and it was his choice, not hers. If anyone knows love, in all it's sometimes twisted forms, it's Spike. This tells me that he knew Buffy wasn't in love with him, and Buffy didn't bother to deny it. She just ran off and left him.
Like I said: Spike knows this. If he wanted Buffy he'd be in bloody Europe already. Angel would never be able to stop him.

Thanks for your reviews, I think you all made valid opinionated points. Here's what I have to stay in response.
It's not about who Buffy loves more--the idea was to tell the story from another character's perspective, Faith's. Just because Faith doesn't see things the way a lot fans to means her view is right or wrong.
I disagree. When Angel says things, especially denies Buffy something about LA Buffy tends to listen. It's the reason Buffy didn't flat out try to kill Faith back in S1 of Angel--but then that's my personal view of it.
But again, thanks for the reviews, it does make me stop and try to look at things in another light.

And if Buffy supposedly loves Angel... I wonder how long that'd last if they'd actually had to spend more than a day together.
She doesn't know Angel, Angel doesn't know the real her. That's not love, that's keeping up a childhood illusion.

Respect and love don't come anywhere near equal. So your statement that she's got something for both Angel and Spike while claiming she loves Angel but only respects Spike just doesn't add up.
Also who's Angel to refuse to let Buffy see Spike. If he was in a hospital room in a coma then yeah he could keep her off the list. But as it is he doesn't own LA. Unless Spike is kept inside the W&H building at all times Angel quite simply doesn't have the power to deny her that.
