I like it how you portray everyone as treating Estel differently and the man himself being fed up with it because he himself hasn’t changed- he just lost his sight…

Yeah, it’s quite amazing people can discern a person’s identity by just listening to the sounds he makes when he walks. Everyone has another step… they actually made us listen to it in gym class many years ago- it was kinda cool…

And Legolas is in trouble, isn’t he? I wonder whether these visions will stick with him the entire time (e.g. that he detects danger when it’s his family)

Yeah – Terr can bounce back all right. This just proves that he is a real hobbit. Say, you could do a story on Estel when he first came to Rivendell. You say he hadn’t talked for a year then. That would be nice to read, don’t you think?

Good, the other unicorn is safe now. How come nobody every saw them? They must have become very good at hiding over the years what with human wanting to capture them. Makes me think of those sailors in the old days that cut the horn from one of those sea creatures (don’t remember the name) and sold them as unicorn horns…

Why does everyone think that Estel needs looking after? Even Mithrandir? Or could it be that he senses something and that that is the reason Legolas is coming with them as well?
