What a stunning story! The ending is worthy of O. Henry. Poor book... it was only doing the best that it could...

What a treat to find this story! It's subtle and brilliant. Wonderful handling of Dumbledore, Flamel and Dippet. (My favorite moment was Dumbledore's amused reaction when he heard Flamel's soothing words to the cranky book.) You can sense the deeper friendship beginning between Dumbledore and Flamel, two men of endearing wisdom and humor. The subtle touches like the glimpse of Dumbledore's ring, were amazing. And the description of the snow "whispering against the leaded windows and piling up on the ledge" made me shiver.
And, when one of the names revealed by the repaired book was Riddle's I said "oh!" Such wonderful deep layering in this brief and brilliant scene!

I only recently discovered fanfiction.net, and I am extremely glad I did because if I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have been able to read your very compelling and talented stories. So I just wanted to say thank you, and please do keep up the good work! I know this isn't so much a review as it is blatant flattery, but honestly, I can't find anything in this story that could stand improving. (Do bear in mind, however, that I am not much of a writer. At all, heh.) I particularly like how your stories are woven together so cleverly and with such insight and, when appropriate, humor. I truly enjoy reading them.
You might catch sight of another gushing review from me in the comments section of other authors' stories. Please know that I am not intending to brown-nose; I simply tend to only post when a story or author has made quite an impression on me.

This is a very interesting chapter, and I do hope you continue. My only complaint is that you haven't updated Shadowchasers! Will we see Minerva in this? (say yes, say yes, say yes...)
