Nice. You've certainly got nearly all your Chicago details right. Though you imply that the El (it's not the subway!) passes right by Navy Pier. There are several blocks between them, aren't there?

Okay, I only read chapter 1, and I really doubt I'll bother reading any more. I'm not trying to be mean, and maybe you could be a good author if you had a better understanding of the characters JKR created and worked with exploring them they way she intended.

I just hate what is being set up here. Hermione is a GENIUS! She worked her ** off for 7 years so that she could actually have a life. She could probably single handedly get rid of Umbridge's stupid anti-werewolf and half-breed laws if she wanted to! She could make a serious impact on the world, but instead she's going to become a ** who dances on tables and OMG1GUYS LIKEZ HER A LOT SO ITZ FUN!?

Hermione is too good for that. She could be anything. And using Viktor as a plot device to set it in motion is just mean. He's a perfectly nice, respectable man, who has never treated Hermione with anything but kindness. He had to work up the courage to ask her to the ball, and he was really polite. I don't think he would cheat on her like that. He'd just tell her if he found someone else. Hermione's parents would also never do that, as far as we've seen so far and the faked suicide is highly offensive. if you HAD to make her drop everything she worked for and leave all her friends,she could have just ran away without saying where she went. America is a big ** place. They wouldn't find her.

I'm also 13 I'm new and I'm having some problems submitting my stories this is a really good story I love the Coyote Ugly movie.Your a pretty good writer for your age I'm a good writer but writing a fanficton is awkwrd for me so it'll be awile until I get goo we're going to Myrtle beach on the 30 we're going to say at Sea Watch my moms boss is letting her use one of his timeshares he does that a lot i think it's really nice of him sometimes I wish I could fake death and start all over again.Enough about me though I'm probably boring you anyway I love this story it's so neat and I can actually relate to it .Good night and Ta Ta for now. ;)
