PpJt 2009-09-06 . chapter 1 I read this a few years ago, and loved it, but then forgot about it. I've came across it again, and it truly is powerful. |
Elena Kansi 2009-08-22 . chapter 1That was terrible and wonderful all at the same time.
It was so good it made me cry, but so sad and horrifying.
That was amazing. |

Eden Lies 2008-12-09 . chapter 1I can't believe I never left a review for this story! =) it's really amazing, I think. You've got a brilliant controlling idea-war takes away a child's-or anyone's-old self. Many fics really romanticize war, and I was glad to see the realistic quality in yours.
Personally, my favorite lines were the first ones:
Children used to play here, he remembers, and the thought chills him.
...Pocket full of posies...
Children used to learn here, he knows, but it's wrong; it's all wrong. There are no children here.
...Ashes, ashes...
This is the grave of children.
=) just brilliant! kudos to you! |
 FakeBaconFryer 2008-11-29 . chapter 1wow

i felt sick and was nearly in tears!
i haven't read anything that good in a long time!
poor kids! |
JJ Rust 2008-10-12 . chapter 1Well that was tragic. Pretty good alternate version of the end of the HP series. I did like the way you portrayed Seamus, especially focusing on the fact they were children trying to deal with a very adult situation.
Good story. |
Forget and Forgive 2008-08-04 . chapter 1Whoa... That was such a powerful moving piece. You're an amazing author! *favs* |
 JennaTripped 2008-06-04 . chapter 1Ohh, creepy. And very well-written. Kudos. |
obsessmuch 2008-03-07 . chapter 1This... is awesome. And horrible, and disturbing, and dark. But seriously beyond brilliant. I love it! |
Franklet 2008-03-04 . chapter 1wow. just wow. I can't even think of the words to describe this fic - it's amazing.
the disjointed sentences...the run ons...everything is just brilliant and helps to create an atmosphere of terror and fear and confusion that just wasn't in DH.
it captures what a real war would be like and I adored it (well as much as you can adore a fic as disturbing as this)
great great work! |
Mitzu 2007-12-25 . chapter 1Let me just say WOW! This is an amazing fic, and I am so glad I followed the Niffle from Fictionalley over here...! You've hit the mood just perfect, and it just makes it even more believable, than it already is. Thank you for writing this.

RiverChild7 2007-12-06 . chapter 1Wow. Freakily brilliant and wonderful and tragic; you ought to be proud of this one. |
Laura 2007-11-07 . chapter 1 I cried. This was beautiful and wonderful and horrifying all at the same time. Wonderful job. |
Inverarity 2007-09-28 . chapter 1Chilling. In light of Deathly Hallows, it reads very much like the way it could have gone if the good guys lost.
Some of the sentences need polish, but the disjointed flow of the narrative works, given the mood. This is a really scary, tragic story. |
Sain. 2007-07-13 . chapter 1 Haunting. I mean, the writing wasn't perfect, but still -- still, it got to me, because it very accurately depicts what horrors a war is made of. Most fics barely touch the surface; this one gets to the essence of war.
Most fics kill off Ernie Macmillan or Blaise Zabini or Professor Sinistra, but leave the main characters alive because they need them; you're not afraid to kill Harry and Ron and leave Hermione with a bloody stump for a hand, because that's what war's like, it doesn't matter anymore, everyone can get killed (and the Trio would probably be kind of high priority to the Death Eaters, you know, what with Harry and all).
Very impressive. And this line, so, so true;
"The world weeps for the loss of Harry Potter, but no one remembers the football-crazed artist named Dean."
Well done. |
