I had this horrible idea before I got to the end of the first paragraph that it was Daniel you were writing about, and I almost hung it up righ there, but I am glad I didn't. I adore Daniel/Sha're stories, and this was fantastic, except for all the drepressing parts in the middle, which, were well written, but not exactly uplifting. Which was kind of the point, I think.
Anyway, I really liked this. The ending in particular was perfect.
