Phew, talk about a long hiatus you had! I had to go back and re-read the whole story. Totally worth it. I absolutely love this piece, it provides a nice "fill-in" of Jack's past and sets the stage for the first movie. I really like your characterization of Jack: flippant but serious and how his eyes are the key to his moods - really seems to be the only thing that gives him away. Great writing, hope to see more PotC from you soon, if you're so inclined to write more. :D

Very good story. I like your writing style, its very good in your own way. Didnt like what Jack did to his sister but that doesnt matter now does it? It was a very good read I couldnt stop until i had finished it.

I find this an excellent story. A great way of describing his past and a real enjoyment to read. Your choice for his character is interesting; he's a real gentleman as I've seen, and I feel this is a little out of character. After all, in the movie he did put a gun to Elizabeth's head, even if he had no intention of using it. Perhaps soemthing happens to Jack that makes him become a little darker, like he is in the movie, but tis just a suggestion. If you fancy it, then best of luck with it. Other than that, whatever you decide to do, please do continue. I so look forward to what happens between Jack and Anna. Excellent job.
