abuseThis was again, lovely and poetic. I really enjoy the way you are able to capture the feeling of the ship and the cabin at night while Hook is alone.

Another fun read!

abuseAnd this one is just as great as 'By Moonlight'! More sad but still, I like it. 'James Hook doesn't dream', wonder if it is because he already is... well, in a kind of dreamy world, if one can call Neverland that.
Anyway, this and 'By Moonlight' are both very beautiful vignettes.

abuseAh.. as beautiful as the other vignette, if not more sad. It's amazing how succinct this is, but you don't sacrifice quality for quantity at all, and the length of this seems almost beautiful.. I love your writing, the way it just *flows.* You don't even notice it passing, except through a lingering "wow."

Wow. XD Forgive me for getting so poetic, but I really like this. ^^

abuseAmazing amazing amazing! I loved both this and By the Moonlight, you have such a wonderful style of writing. The short sentences interspersing the longer sections of beautifully-crafted imagery worked like a piece of poetry - fantastic.
Oh, and I read the rest of All in Splinters and thought it was fab, too!

abuseLovely - you've written this with such bittersweet intensity it has to be read aloud to be appreciated properly. It fits in so well with your other vignettes - I'm going to have to put them all into my favourites.

abuseGorgeous continuation. I can feel myself being drawn into this... Your writing is beautiful. As in "By Moonlight", I love the sense of atmosphere you've created in this piece. Very dark, very compelling. And I have to say I love your insight into the character of Hook. His sense of loneliness and emptiness came through so strongly in this, as did his longing. I've always felt somewhat sympathetic towards Hook and this has made me feel it even more so, in a way. I found this vignette to be very emotive, maybe even much more so than a lot of long multi-chapter fics (though there is a lot of rubbish floating around this site, though). It ended on such a strangely touching note. Beautiful work.

abusewait-you said series of vignettes, right?! because these are really rather brilliant-I don't mean to be unnecessarily cruel, however most of what you read online is rubbish and anything as cool as this shoud be endlessly lauded. your use of imagery is beautiful, and you have a lovely cadence to your writing that's rare. i want to read whatever you write whatever it is-but i do hope its more of these. Oh, sorry if i'm being too effusive, I don't mean to be annoying. And I know how irritating it is for fanfic authors especially, people always demanding more. So I'll shut up now and just say that these are great!!

abuseLovely - your writing conveys the delicate nature of waking dreams admirably. I'm quite in favor of an older Wendy being attracted more to the dashing and fiendish pirate captain - after all, the seeds of it are there already when she is still in the nursery with her brothers (particularly noticeable in the movie).
I would adore reading any continuations of this - the previous story-let combined with this one would make an excellent prologue to a longer tale.

abuseYou have a great way of writing - please write more. You could sense James was yearning for Older!Wendy and it didn't come across as being written in a really fluffy way. Well done.
As for Jason Issacs...m...
Cheers

abuseAw!
This is so good, and so sad!
It is good that you continued this from the first one.
Will there be any more? I really hope so!
