As always enchanting. I love the way you combined different stanzas of the song with different stages of Sam's life. In a way, Sam appears to have not changed, still the naive hobbit.
And your poetry is beautiful, as well. I especially like the similes

I'm not really a fan of slash but I just think this story is so sweet and well done, especially love the way that the song is used in it :D grey havens = sad and you captured that and probably what sam was feeling (in the slasher's eyes as well as the nonslasher's) around that time, I loves it!
