| Bob 2004-03-31 ch 1, anon. | abuseGreat chapter, and great job writting. I liked this one the best, mostly because of all the sexual appeal. |
| Firkraag 2004-03-05 ch 9, | abuseLoved it. I'm officialy addicted to this fic. I've spent the last five days of my life passing through homework and reading this fic and all of your other ones, you are one of the best authors i have ever seen ^-^. Please don't leave me waiting for more...go on writting (ps. for the love of God, don't kill Eddie in the Beast Within fic.) |
| ussentinel 2004-02-11 ch 9, anon. | abuseM ... disorder in the house of Nigma. But, we knew that was coming, didn't we? What I love about your fic is the unashamed real human emotions you bring to your character and the Dee/Eddie relationship. In the comics, villains are often depicted as two-dimensional. Yet you to a fantastic job of showing some credible realism to the characters. Magnificent writing! |
| Mistah Js girl 2004-02-09 ch 9, | abuseAh! I was not expecting that!! I must say, i'm really starting to get hooked on your stories. I love how you switch between point of views. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what happens in your next story. Really awesome job, you have me wanting more lol |
| chris dee 2004-02-07 ch 7, | abuseHow the plot does thicken. Some surprises from Benny & Trigger this time. So Eddie is discovering there's more to his henchmen than he thought. Rose petals. Uhoh. Not if he wants Dee to forget about the Ivy encounter. Chinatown. Uhoh again. Don't do it, Eddie. Do not go into Chinatown with another female, even a female parakeet. And Dee is drinking again. These folks really don't learn from their mistakes do they. Good thing, Gotham wouldn't be nearly so much fun if they did. |
| Mistah J's girl 2004-02-05 ch 7, anon. | abusePoor Dee! I feel so bad how her! She's having so many hard times and taking so much abuse :( I want to know how it works out!! |
| Mistah Js girl 2004-02-02 ch 6, | abusePoor Eddie and Dee! He's trying so hard too lol it's really cute hehe I can't wait to see how they work things out. I really love the way you write all the characters and make even simple events fun to read. |
| Sealgair 2004-02-02 ch 6, | abuseWow. um... I'm worried that Eddie will take ALL of Sandy's advice. While the rose petals and dinner et cetera would certainly wow a normal girl, Dee is something special. The favourite flowers would probably be good, but from what we've seen going overboard might push her away. Heh. Poor guy didn't know what he was getting into when he really let someone into his life - there are definitly adjustments to be made. Love this story, Q. Have to say, I'm wondering about the color scheme in the hideout though! ;) |
| ussentinel 2004-01-29 ch 4, anon. | abuseHOW DARE YOU ... try to have me write a review and say something other than "Wow! I can't wait to see what happens next!" Okay, the dialogue was VERY sharp; nothing seemed forced, nor held back. Of all your fic, maybe this is the one I'd love to see adapted in some other medium with a cast acting it out. I DO like the alternating voice and POVs between chapters. There were a lot of lines that struck me in this chapter. Perhaps, "... Sleeping with you is the embarrassment ..." was the sharpest. Outstanding fic! |
| chris dee 2004-01-28 ch 3, | abuseChapters 1 & 2: Hm, Dee seems to have Eddie on a short leash. Is she aware of it? "The two were wearing skimpy, studded leather, and fishnet stockings; outfits similar to what they were wearing when I first hired them." Ouch, still wincing here. I guess even the smartest man is entitled to a few errors of judgment. Nevertheless: "Eddie, what do you call a guy who would hire two bimbii that apply for the job wearing studded leather and fishnets?" Still, he realizes he settled for far less than wanted/needed from a woman, and that should count for something. What really jumps out at me in this chapter is the distinction Eddie comes to make between the harsh gold-digging manipulation of Diedre and Nina compared to Dee's more benign string-pulling about where and when they'll have dinner. Chapter 3: Wow. First major surprise, slipped in so casually: Dee is aware of Eddie's revulsion at her killing, and that is a positive influence on her, holding her back from more violence. (Buffy was exploring this territory with Spike who first refrained from hurting people to avoid pain, then to earn respect of others, and then finally because he seemed to come around to the concepts of right and wrong). I had to LOL at Ivy, that was perfect. She is so totally in her own little world, Pammy World, to have gone on and on about her one nighter with Eddie and never picked up on the buttons she was pushing. Brilliantly done. |
| Sealgair 2004-01-20 ch 2, | abuseNOw I know what your LJ meant when you commented about writing painful stuff! This was painful to read, tho not in the "this is awful" way, rather, in the *empathetic* way. I feel bad for Eddie, and for Dee as well, but he whould have been straight with her in the first place. Then no belated explanations would have been necessary. Here's to a beautiful story, and them making up! |
| ussentinel 2004-01-19 ch 1, anon. | abuseHOO HAH! Is it getting warm in here? I kinda love stories like this; I call them "hot water" stories. This is a nice change of pace and I commend you for an excellent premise; very interesting. As such, I think you're use of voice/first person was a clever way to go. Thank you. |
| Mistah Js girl 2004-01-18 ch 1, | abuseOh! Whatever will happen next? For goodness don't leave me suspense! lol Looks great so far, i can't wait for more :D |
