 Ducky'sgirl4ever 2009-02-21 . chapter 1A great story. Very good. |
 mawkishdelusion 2005-05-03 . chapter 1 Alright ppl, let's clear something up. ;) S. Morgenstern was NOT real! It's a pen name made up by William Goldman. The "good parts" version is the one and ONLY version of the book. Here's a link to back up what I'm saying:
;) Just to clear things up. |
 Nota Lone 2005-02-28 . chapter 1I'm looking for the book, but I've seen the movie. Very nice prologe (however you spell it) it fits well. |
 Anonymous 2004-11-02 . chapter 1 Hey, that's great! I always wondered if Westley felt a twinge of remorse now and again, killing people and all. Interesting idea ^^ |
 Roberta Bonaime 2004-08-25 . chapter 1 Too lazy to login :)
Great fic!!
About W.G. not writing the book, it was a way for him to tell about the background of the story; I believe W.G. explains it on the DVD special features. I'd have to doubld check to be absolutely sure though. |
 Tinuviel Undomiel 2004-07-28 . chapter 1Pretty cool, I know what happens next, but I hope you write it down. |
 Threshie 2004-06-08 . chapter 1Hehe...an amusing take on a character I never got to see in the book or movie. ^^
However, the book 'The Princess bride' isn't actually written by William Goldman. The original is by S. Morgenstern (at least, I think that was his name...the grandpa says it when he starts reading the book in the movie version), and William Goldman arranged and edited the 'good parts' version in which all the long boring stuff was removed.
And trust me, from the notes on William Goldman's version I got from the library, there were a TON ofboring parts. I mean, PAGES just to describe a lady packing all her clothing and hats and then unpacking them again? ^^;;
Anyway, this ficcy is amusing. I like how you made Ryan his last name, instead of his first name. It makes sense that Westley wouldn't be in a first-name type of friendship with such a fierce man who threatened to kill him daily, LOL.
I'd be interested to see how you would portray the characters that were shown in the movie and book...hmz... =) There's a thought, hehe.

 A mouse 2004-06-07 . chapter 1 First off the author did *not* write the screenplay. William Goldman wrote the screenplay and *abriged* the book. The original book had a lot of meaningless clutter, and essays about trees, though they cut out the princess training in the abridgement which is the only thing that made me angry. If you can find the sequel, it will be unabriged because they are having stephen king do the abrigement and we all know how long he takes! |
 me 2004-06-04 . chapter 1 that's awesome! |
 Charcoal Hearts 2004-04-16 . chapter 1ok...im a little lost. Is this the real Dread Pirate Roberts or...one of other ones? and i thought the pirate didnt come into the story till he captured westley...maybe a little clearer note on where you are, but it was good. Keep it up. I'd like to see where this story is going. Update soon! |
 Jeff 2004-02-07 . chapter 1 Well, I think it could have gone on very well. It was a bit high-school paper-ish, though that was what it is, right? I think you could have been more discriptive about the surroundings and characters. But most definitely it could have gone on further. |
 Slytherin-Essence 2004-02-06 . chapter 1that was good.
YAY!
