SteeleRanger 2005-06-23 . chapter 1Nice ending. However, I agree with some of the other reviewers, you could put more of a background story into Tavington's personal life with his wife. btw, chapters 57 and 58 are up for ASD, so check them out; they sort of end bittersweet. |
Chalice Blackbird 2004-05-26 . chapter 1I love it and it made me cry.
I'm just too much of a Tavington Fan.
But you made him a wonderfull, emotional man.
I also love this song.
You're fanfiction is great. Thank you. |
Best Friend 2004-03-02 . chapter 1 This writer has the potential for a great story. I believe that he needs to flesh out the story with more details. Why does Tavington feel guilty? Memories could give the story more depth. Memories could include their courting, their wedding, family, etc. Why are Tavington and Martin enemies? Is it the War itself? Or was Martin a rival for the lady's affection? Is the writer trying to redeem Tavington as a human being after his history in the movie? (Maybe something to do with his wife is why he is so cruel) The story is a great beginning but I believe more story would be even better! Great Job! |
heart-of-avalon 2004-02-18 . chapter 1well well well Mrs. Tavington. How Are we with writing? Maybe you should not include song lirics. But you know me. I don't like historical fiction. (* and I thought you had come up with that colorful name yourself- DUH NEMO! Me=IDIOT*) :) See yas later... |

Arsinoe de Blassenville 2004-02-09 . chapter 1I thought for awhile about this. Have you considered trying to write a little short story about this situation? Maybe you could tell a little about Tavington's wife and their marriage and how she died. Was she from England? Did she like following the army, or was it really hard for her? Does Tavington feel guilty? Was he with her when she died, or was he off on a mission, and then came back and found out that she had died asking for him? Make it as romantic and tragic as you like, because readers really enjoy that. My only suggestion is that while Martin might sympathize a little, he'd also be somewhat glad to see his enemy suffering. He's really not a forgive-and-forget type. |
