But I gotta ask; how did you NOT catch the Rachel/Tobias relationship? I mean, earlier on it was all just hints, but the later books it was pretty much just stated. Maybe I just noticed becasue Rachel was my hero and I was in love with Tobias. lol.

I LOVE RACHEL AND TOBIAS! I haven't read any animorph books for ages. They're all my brother's and they've all been put away - except for my favourite one and the only one I own, #49, The Sickness. I also love #13 and that one is hanging around my room as well. I'd have to say Tobias is my favourite character, then Ax, then Cassie, or maybe the latter two tied. Rachel was never a favourite of mine either but she and Tobias go together really well.

I kinda did the same thing with reading them I think coz they became less available to me. ^ ^; But I started catching rach tobias hints from the first book. =D It's adorable how he'll land on her shoulder but no one elses XD Really funny. I think I noticed since I have the same name as her and it was automatic to focus on that character adn then naturally liking Tobias. XD So bam, they're my favorite and I loved this story. Good job.

Oh *tear in eye* such a cute story! ah **! did i just say what i think i said? Have u read the entire series yet? I think i finished it around 6th or 7th grade. And heck yeah! i barely caught any of the "romance" applegate hinted at in the begining here and there.. but nearing the middle and end she put in a lot. the ending of the series is so sad..*another tear*

this is an excellent fic! like u, i read the animorphs when i was younger and havent done so for a while. i was bored so i just decided to come see what was going on in the land of yeerkness. rachel was always my fav, and she has always been the basis in any of the fics i write in my head but never posted. ive sorta transformed her into something totally different than what she originally was, however.

aw! that was *so very tobiasy* really it was! It was in character of course, but also ur word choice & syntax was *so* him, i really mean it! Lotsa ppl accidentally overdress by throwing in these big complex words and pov's without considering whether it's really character appropriate bcoz they're just so eager 2 express themselves & leave it in 1st person bcoz it's the style of the books, and i just really luv how u got it right on! It was simple, it was sweet... omigosh, and I especially LOVE the part where rachel's overcome by this world-weary feeling and rather than trying 2 explain everything out and justify it into becoming overly examined u just let it *be* and tobias just *saw* it, he cldn't *explain* it and i just love that so much i mite propose if i didn't know if ur story was currently seeing ne1! Oh, I love it. I love tobias and rachel, but especially tobias, and especially when he's with rachel I guess, and I love this story! ! Oh, but if ever u were feeling a bit miffed that u didn't get any criticism bcoz u want room 4 improvement, ur title's a bit droopy. It fits with ur quote at the end & it's obvious wot u mean, but it wld ice the cake 2 spiff it up a little, ye ken?

btw ... CrypticIdentity, it never said Rachel was the tallest, it only said that she was tall, and that she was taller than Cassie or Marco. And tall for a female is about average height for a male. And Tobias was "big, but not big enough to keep from being picked on."
