Oh this definitely cries out for more. Like maybe Lennie's side of things. Does he comfort her over the tears, does he know what's brought them on and what about Serena is she having second thoughts?

Bast you have a warm fuzzy side! You lovingly portrayed Rodgers and Lennie. And Rodgers fear of feeling so much for the lovely Serena is almost palpable. Thank you for writing Lennie as the hopeless romantic I know he is. And thank you for writing this piece.

Cold is wonderfully good writing, in a different style for Bast. Notice how cold is woven through the story. Cold things are the window, the N.Y. winter, the tile and Rodgers heart. The story Cold shows a versatility in Bast's impressive writing ability. I liked it much.

What happened to Serena? Did she die? Did they just break up? Did she find someone else?
