I love love love this

Gorgeous, wonderful, especially since it was written so long ago and presumably before we came to know more about the angty-ness of Remus' werewolf stuff. Loved it.

That was lovely in all sense of the word. Perhaps it was long, but it was brilliant and I love how it comes to a full circle with the hand and the burning and the bandaging and the not his fault and the which hand. Beautiful.

Sweet story.

This is a lovely story. The format is unique. There were os many beautiful passages but I must say that I especially loved these:
Sirius nods. He doesn’t understand all the words, but the meaning is clear enough. He walks the endless way across his father’s study, past rustling bookcases that his little hands, burned though they are, itch to get ahold of. In those bookcases is the knowing that his father has, and Sirius has not. They both know there is power in this knowing.
And these:
And Remus finds himself telling Sirius. That scents are almost like colors, and so the world is always a kaleidoscope of smell and memory and beauty. That changing form through pain and becoming a nightmare means that every dark thing about him is bared every month; he has faced his demons and made peace with them, something most people will never do. That howling is singing, and that three years ago he made a promise to his mother, and that, even wolf-shaped, he remembers this, and so he sings her songs.

wow that was just..wow. amazing. your such a good writer! i love how you ended it on a happy note, before the whole disaster with the secret keepers and such. also having it switch POVs between years was really great. it was so cute and i loved the way you included their childhoods. by the way though, sirius' parents are named walburga (mother) and orion (father) black. amazing though, best fic i've read in a while! keep up the great work.

Lovely, really. One of the most wonderful things I've ever read in fanfiction. It made me cry although it had such a happy ending. Your writing style is beautiful... and I wish I could use words as well as you do.

aw this was great! you did a really great job showing how they change over the years. i loved child remus, he was so adorable i just wanted to hug my computer :). and i liked how you repeated the dialoge at the beginning and the end of the fic when sirius burns his hand, it takes on an entirely new meaning. you're such a great writer!

This was really good! I think it is important to keep it at the length it is, because each snapshot is quite short on its own. Remus and Sirius are exceptionally well written, especially with how they grow up while staying the same. I loved the 'repeat' of the the first scene, but Remus truly is the best caregiver there ever was. :)

I thought I should give this a more detailed review, though it'll be hard, since there's so much I love about it.

By far my favorite part of this one-shot is how we see Remus and Sirius grow up, how we see what makes them who they are. And it shows tremendous effort on your part, so congrats :]]

There are also just so many lines that are just... brilliant.

This, for example:

So now Sirius is at Remus’s house, with its little garden and piles of books, and Remus’s bedroom with the slanted ceiling, and he decides that in a perfect world, he would have spent his childhood at the Potters, and will be spending the rest of his life here in the little house on the moor with Remus.

And here:

Remus’s eyes shut involuntarily. “So you know,” he says, trying not to mumble, “I’m not very good at this sort of thing.”

Because Remus would, wouldn't he?

And well, I'm not sure if you'll ever see this review (it's been a while) but this fic is every bit as amazing as it was when I first read it, such a long time ago.

This is probably THE fanfic that got me hooked on R/S, and so I need to thank you for that. It's been ages since I've last read it (I'm reviewing rather late...) but I still remember it as being absolutely brilliant. :]

I'll probably re-read this later tonight, and give you a more thorough review, although it's been four years since publication... oh well. :D

Breathtakingly beautiful, in how you combined different moments throughout the years to show the depth of both Sirius and Remus' characters and their relationship. The ending scenes brought the story to a calm and satisfying conclusion. Thank you *so much* for such a wonderful story!
