I must congratulate you on the way you write your stories. It is rare to find a simple, straight-forward story-writer who keeps his sketches short and sweet, without a lot of huge plots that do not hold and shallow meanings, which seem to be expected in American fiction, if I may say so.

For any future stories: the mystery thing didn't really work in this one, it felt...stilted or forced. The characters were great, description and dialogue good, it was just the mystery element that needed some more work. Maybe it needed to be slightly longer and have a red herring or two.
