The depth you bring to the characters is incredible. There is nothing more I can say about it other than this is exactly how I imagine Hook and Wendy to be. Your writing style fits the mood so perfectly. It's subtle and almost fragile and very sincere. I was particularly moved when Wendy is trying to size Hook up and fails. The line about how it was easier in childhood and she was so glad to be older really seized me. You're right about this story ending as a beginning. I feel like this fic is almost a prelude to so much more but I have no trouble imagining where things go from here. Bravo. I would love to see more work from you (especially of the Hook/Wendy variety - there are so few good writers in this fandom).
