Did I mentioin how much I liked the (ahem) 'little sojourn into the depths of your crazed imagination'? I'm not quite ready to leave yet, I'm going to go read your other fic I believe.
You know, this ending could technically be counted as a cliffhanger. Is Raven still the crazed hedgie hat tried to take chomps out of everybody? Or did he become slightly saner... I hope he's nice to Shadow when his little brother finds him.
I really liked your characterizations in this. Everyone was perfect, and you brought Shadow out of his perpetual funk. (cheers and proposes a toast) That was brilliant. I loved his and Sonic's exchange about how being fatter than Eggman was a physical impossibility.
Now, I could go on and on about every little detail that I liked (and you definitely don't want that... or do you?), Or I could simply say that this fic was amazing, it's going in my favs, and I really want to read the other one you have on here! See you there! |
| Rebell 2007-08-20 . chapter 22 Lol! Less thinky, more runny! I can totally picture Sonic saying that.
Just wanted to drop a line before I got to the end, to say how much I'm enjoying this so far! I really like the plot, in part because it deviates from the completely normal setting (and lets face it, too many normal setting makes it all blend together.. but that's ok...) and this Fount of light thing isn't particularly normal. Which makes it even more AWESOME!
As for this Raven character, either I'm insane, or I think he's not so bad anymore. Poor Shadow. Having to deal with THAT! And yet for some reason, I find myself liking Raven too.
I like the memory element a lot. The interaction between the two 'times' is great. little shadow and raven are adorable! Why did whoever-it-is put them through that? I want to hurt him...

 dp_fan92 2007-01-22 . chapter 34 This is such a terrific story, the humor, the battles, the twists in the plot, the "mystery" of Raven. I read it once months ago, and I had to re-read it, but kept postponing due to it's length. But I did and it was worth it.
This may sound a little crazy, but last month I started a fic starring Shadow and his younger sister Silhouette, who due to being exposed to a serum accidently made of negative chaos energy lost control over her mind and wants to kill Shadow. As I re-read this story, I began to think, "What if Silhouette, Shadow, and Raven all grew up together..." So I began to mix our two stories together, which turned out to be very interesting. For example, when Ultimate Life-form Raven starts to abuse and threaten Shadow, Silhouette over hears form outside. She tries to help Shadow, but he tells her to stay out for both of their own goods. Soon she can't handle her older brother being abused, so she yells at Raven and ends up being abused like Shadow. After Raven is taken away and shadow goes through the procedure, his personality changes too and Silhouette hates it, so the two have a massive fight. Three days later, Silhouette is injected with the serum and she loses control of her mind, but only once in a while. She's locked into a pod and the next day GUN invades, so she is ejected with Shadow to Earth.
Raven goes after Shadow as he does in your fic, and soon Silhouette returns. Eggman gives her more serum, and she loses control completely. She goes after both her brothers for revenge, starting with Shadow. Shadow is about to lose, but the monster leaves Raven's mind. Silhouette helps her brothers, Sonic, Tails, Knux, and Amy fight the monster so that she can do the honors later. After they win, Raven and Shadow have to try to get Silhouetteback to normal.
