You should probably talk to a fencer for tips if you plan on writing any more sword-fighting scenes in.
Somehow, unless she mellowed in her old age, I doubt Elizabeth would worry too much about her daughter being lady-like.
Regarding your summary: realize that if this is set approximately 15 years post-movie, Sparrow is going to be about 50. For decency's sake, don't match him up with Clarita. A 15-year-old and a 50-year-old pirate is not a good match.
