Oh, excellent! A bit of self-inflicted punishment to soothe a guilty conscience... but unfortuantely, it's not always successful. Wonderful angst! I loved the descriptions - I've never done rock climbing, but I felt like I was THERE! Can't wait for the next installment - bravo!!

The title works well with much of the imagery in the story and this work helps explain how Elizabeth ends up with Lennie in Cold.
As a Native American I'd like to think the guide's name is his own joke on 'the others'. I certainly know I've never met an Indian named Whiskey

'Walls' is impressive! What a great setting! Bast's writing in the previous story 'Cold' was so good that improvment should not have been expected. But, 'Walls' improved in a different manner. It is great to see Serena a setting completely alien to the crowded city where she has always been before. Also, Bast was good to the readers by clearly telling the reason for Rogers' and Serena's breakup instead of just giving hints or delaying the explanation. Fans will be eager for more segments of the saga.

Wow, wow and wow squared. Amazing Bast! You write a deep and intriquing Serena. The writers at LAO should take a cue from you and make her just as interesting on the show. Kudos!
