Piscean Rubble 2008-04-30 . chapter 1Nicely written. The piece paints a very bleak picture, indeed. The heartbreak is unmistakable. The rhyme and the metre flow nicely. Its amazing how so few words can say so much. It been so long since I've seen the film and I'm desperately trying to remember the scene. You've encouraged me to sit down and watch it again with your poem in mind. |
Meggin Fallohide 2004-07-26 . chapter 1Hey! It's Meggin, the one you've been reviewing for Arwenella. Someone suggested this poem, so I took off and read it.
What to say! I love it! Love it, love it! It was very touching, and I loved your choice of words- very bittersweet. You're a great poet, with an even greater potential. Keep it up! .::Meggin::. |
 Steelsheen 2004-07-13 . chapter 1Wow...
I'd read this before, actually, and never reviewed it. But I will now: it's gorgeous. I love all the lines, but especially "trapped in a cage that has no door" and "you rode off without second look/my heart along with you you took". This has perfect rhyme, meter... everything, and I love Boromir. Adding to favorites.

A Monkey's Harp 2004-03-25 . chapter 1Hey Mercury! I like the poem *big wink* Nice stuff!
Thanks for the ^lovely^ review...it really made my day! I can't believe I got seven reviews for it in one day *jumps for joy* I was thinking I'd get maybe one, but I was wrong!
I like being wrong that way ;) Anyway, thanks, and keep up the writing! Gotta make use of those plot holes Tolkien left all over! |
 Anastasia Who 2004-03-16 . chapter 1Cool. I liked it. Nice job. |
Aeris Ultimavara 2004-03-14 . chapter 1This was fantastic! You have a really beautiful way of putting words together in just the right way, which conjures up some great images. The line "Ride out with king and legions hale" positively sings with glory and grandeur and nobility.
I also thought "...love, a fickle thing/Which was forgot for thought of Ring" spoke wonderfully of melancholy and longing.
This is a truly excellent lament for an excellent character. |
Eladriewen 2004-03-06 . chapter 1Bravo! Very good imagery, and an excellent portrayal. A touching title too, if I might say.
Thank you also for pointing out the error in my story. I've currently corrected it. ^_^
Once more, beautiful peace you have here. Keep writing. |
