it's so strange to find someone who'd actually go this in-depth on both ryou and bakura, but wow! not only did you get bakura's cunning and ryou's torment across, but you also managed to get their relationship across on the same level as yugi and yami's in canon. this is the sort of fanfic an writer dreams of making!

and it's nice to see someone else realizes bakura would never truly be gone. he fractures his soul into so many pieces and possesses ryou even without the ring, losing in memory world wouldn't end it.

After reading this story, I have concluded that this is what tendershipping is truly about.

there are so many cliches now with ryou and bakura, but you've managed to put everything together and depict the perfect, most logical relationship there could ever be.

the fact that ryou isn't a stuttering schoolgirl is wonderful (because really, i don't think he's a stuttering schoolgirl. D:<) he's headstrong and stubborn, and that makes him a beautiful, ambitious fighter. he is lonely, his loneliness is his vulnerability, and you've written it so well, the emotions he displays. and my heart lurches whenever i read the first chapter of this, at the microwave scene because i feel his actions are so DULL and worth nothing that it's so beautiful to read.

and bakura, oh bakura. he is everything i envisioned him to be-you made him perfect. he is terrible, but yet he is so wonderful at the same time- clever and cunning and classy and smooth. he is challenging and dominant, everything that bakura embodies, just a boy with testosterone and rage running through his veins. his nonchalant indifference towards ryou is so perfect, the way he is expressionless and quiet and yet always in control.

this was just absolutely amazing and i enjoyed it immensely.

the ending was just.

i like how the title is in latin. i love the way latin sounds. i was also at the firs chap thinking that sincethere was no dailogue for a long time that this wasnt ever going to have any. that wouldve been interesting. this wasnt a bittersweet ending though. maybe for bakura but not ryou. and what happened to jounochi? ...you never really said. though there were some hints to something...ah well. i like how you made the ghosts shimmer in the end. cos they couldnt just float all still...dunoo why but thats my fav part i think. and the random pots and pans on ryous counter. :p

i loved this story. and i love ryou too. but ..for his decision in this i lost all respect..i dunno if thats negative or not but...how terrible. if i were him id be highly ashamed. i would rather be dead than let my life go to waste like that because of not being able to face the truth. hes no better than akunadin!! im not bashing your story. thats why i faved it. i liked it...just not the last part. :( i dont feel sorry for bakura but i also dont feel sorry for ryou or anzu in this. they knew what they were doing but they did it anyways! theyre all bastards! lol okay ell i guess im done.. haha

In my opinion you've got their characterization and relationship nailed. I love the angst, not direct, the kind that doesn't make you cry but hurts more than the rest. Thus you totally totally deserve a fav.

Very nice, the best Ryou/Bakura piece I've ever seen. You're one of the few who can make it even semi plausable, and the end is beautifully tradgic. I love the way you hint and the over all power of the millenium items. Their tradgedy, the... darkness within them which lingers with all the wielders really.

I've just finished the first chapter but I feel sort of compelled to review: it's brilliant. I haven't seen this kind of Bakura characterization in far too long. You write him like he's seen in the manga and the things he does are spot-on to the point they almost make me shiver, particularly the line "You never wanted anyone else." It's just something he /would/ say.

Ha, I'll stop making a fangirl of myself now (before I've even finished!). ^^;

. . . That. was. just so sad, but beautifully written and quite realistic to the actual plot line of Yuugiou. So believable that it's scary to think because it's not idealistic in events. Yet it's so original, so different from other fics, and so very well done. Definitely not something I expected from the first two ch, but quite a nice twist. I look forward to reading future stories from you.
