Reviews for: The Real Gunsmoke Blues - Page 1 of 5

Oh, that is just a wonderful ending for Gunsmoke Blues. Using Saverem, of all names like that... Just a real nice twist. The better sort of ending for a time-shifting scifi fic.

Before the name clicked, I just thought it would be part of the sequal, like, "Vash...? You saved my Daddy, thank you!" but then, "le gasp! *starry eyed*" So bravo. And now, I think I already saw the sequal floating around somewhere... going to read that next.

I really like the idea of a Bebop/Trigun crossover, although normally I avoid crossovers like the plague. I was rewatching Trigun the other day and I suddenly wanted to find a decent crossover story. It was remarkably difficult; in the end I only found one other in addition to yours, but the searching was definitely worthwhile.

You really managed to keep all of the characters realistically in-character while still developing an interesting storyline, and the writing alone was enough to keep me hooked. Witty remarks and banter had me laughing out loud a few times, and somehow you succeeded in combining the 'feel' of both shows into one story, which is quite an achievement.

As with everyone else, it would seem, I particularly enjoyed the effect Vash gradually had on all of the other characters, though I was a bit disappointed he didn't engage in any actual fighting with Spike -- for some reason that's something I'd really like to see.

I liked Wolfwood's role in the story a lot, as well, as someone who could see very clearly and objectively what was going on with everyone, but kept his interference to a minimum. He felt very cryptic, which seemed appropriate for him.

And the ending, with Spike encountering Saverem, was fantastic. The title of the chapter really did sum it up very well. Must get started on the sequel now. Thanks a lot for writing this! It was exactly what I was looking for.

WOW! I don't know if you'll read this review or not...but if you do...you should know you did one hell of a job...and i loved the part with little girl walking away...Spike accidently made Vash the man he will be. I had been watching Trigun on youtube and a thought had crossed my mind...Trigun and Cowboy Bebop fanfic...i thought of doing one, but i wanted to see if anyone else had done one...and only yours really captured my attention...there is no way i could do better than this...you captured everyone's personallity perfectly. This is one fanfic that should be given it's own movie or something...i would pay big bucks to see it. I loved this story and i'm excited to start reading ths sequal.

"The Show Must Go On" is by Queen. There is very little in Moulin Rouge! that wasn't written in the seventies.

Wow, what a great story! This is by far the best Cowboy Bebop/Trigun fic I've ever read! Its great how Vash some how got to all of the Bebop crew, and you've done it in a believable way. Also, I think I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot when Wolfwood left that note for Faye. Talk about sweetness...

Hope you come out with that sequel soon!

wow. this is one of the best stories i've ever read! you keep the characters IC even in a crossover and your writing style is amazing. you're descriptive without being overly so and the plot develops at just the right speed to keep the reader begging for more and not bored with filler chapters, that happens a lot with long fics. you're awesome! i have a new favorite story! thank you so much for writing this.

Another excellent crossover. If you've got ideas for a sequel do work on it. I'd love to see more of this sort of thing.

As for the story itself, you did a really go job of mixing the two worlds. It's certainly the best Bebop/Trigun fic I've read. I really enjoyed the way Vash won the crew of the Bebop over one by one.

On the downside I was rather let down that Milly and Meryl where on the sidelines through most of the story. I was hoping they'd get the chance to kick a little butt. Also, FYI, ship names like The Bebop and song titles are always supposed to be written in italics. Amazing the little things from English class that stick with you, isn't it?

Anyway, minor complaints aside this was a great fic.

Wow... This is an awesome story. It's nice to see a very good writer make a trigun/bebop fiction, especially such a very well-constructed one as this. And yes, I would be interested in a sequel.
