Zarz 2009-08-04 . chapter 1Very, very, very cool story! I love the idea of Sherlock Holmes being real, and Methos having met him. Your point about immortality being the worst form of torture for Holmes is definitely well made, but I'm glad he at least got to show off his deductive reasoning to one. Great job on both those deductions and the style of writing; I think you managed to follow Doyle's style really well. All around wonderful story. Keep up the great work! |
GoldenRat 2007-06-11 . chapter 1Very nice crossover. You really captured Watson's writing style.
The only thing I don't really believe is that Methos would tell Holmes & Watson his age. |
L Moonshade 2006-11-13 . chapter 1Wow, what a fantastic story! You kept everyone in character, and the style of writing was very compatable with Doyle's. Thanks for a great fic! |
Chris-Sasami-Bunny 2004-12-08 . chapter 1Very enjoyable read. Inspiring to the last.

Elle Knight 2004-09-06 . chapter 1I must applaud you on this excellent story! You have captured the true personas of Holmes, Watson, and Methos well. I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes as well as 'Highlander', and I was glad to see that someone had written a crossover of the two. Again, thank you for this wonderful story. Keep writing! |
firearies 2004-07-17 . chapter 1 This is an excellent short story. Quite amusing (especially the ending) and suspensful.
I think you did Mr. Holmes a great justice, actually. In a sense, he is immortal. :)
Spelling and punctuation were wonderful; in my first reading I had not seen a mistake spelling- or grammar-wise (Brownie points!).
The plot was original; it was something that I haven't considered before. Brownie points for that!
Personally, I felt that it's a good tribute to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Well done. |
Lady Cinnibar 2004-03-28 . chapter 1You evil creature you! I had not noticed this story! Not at all! I am so ashamed of myself!
Never set pen to paper? I rarely if ever actually write my stuff on paper. Then again, I haven't been writing a lot lately.
Ahem... nothing much is happening indeed. My Muses have quite abandoned me, and I'm stuck in dull tedium. *sigh*
I still write, but it's not good stuff, and most of it is really not worthy of publishing, although I have published a poem or two at Fiction Press since.
Anyway, lovely story, and quite the enjoyable read. I'm just smarting because I never noticed it. Ooh! My ego stings! |
Magda1 2004-02-19 . chapter 1I really enjoyed it - you've captured the different styles and perspectives beautifully, a great Sherlock story as well as an excellent Joe/Methos one. I'd love to see a sequel...perhaps Holmes penetrates the Watchers and its origins? |
jezowen 2004-02-18 . chapter 1An engaging AU addition to Methos' life, and Holmes's. You captured "Watson's" narrative style very well - it's only a pity it had to end there! |
Beth 2004-02-17 . chapter 1 That was a master peice! please continue to write I can't wait to read more of your work! |
RavenMerc 2004-02-17 . chapter 1Wow! Very well, done, I must say. You nailed the voice of Holmes and of Methos squarely on target.
::stands up clapping:: Brava! |
jen 2004-02-11 . chapter 1 a wonderful story! I've long been a fan of the master and you have skillfully woven his story with the old man's. Bravo! |
Penny 2004-02-11 . chapter 1 The style in which the manuscript is written is wonderful, as is the story. |
Jaelle 2004-02-11 . chapter 1Brilliant story! I particularly enjoyed Methos' interaction with Holmes, and the way he was outsmarted (for a change!). It was wonderfully written, and I'm so impressed that you managed to get the Holmes-style so perfect. Well done! |
jnp 2004-02-10 . chapter 1 Oh, this is good! I really enjoyed it. It really seemed like a Sherlock Holmes mystery, if shorter than the usual novel. Congrats on the authentic feel. Think you might do another story similar to this? This was wonderful. I enjoyed reading it. |
