Great story, but I am totally confused by that last little bit. What is Sesshoumaru trying to say? That his feelings for Kagome disappeared? Seriously? After all that fuss, he just doesn't care about her anymore?

I just read your whole story and I love it. Good job and I wish I knew if Sesshie and Kagome got together. .

THAT'S HOW IT ENDS! ARGH! (T.T) *pouts*. "Gathering Rain" was a joy to read, very interesting plot and a lesson to learn laced throughout the story as well. Love others for whom they are. Well, as they say, "live and let live" or "Live and Learn." I'm glad Sesshoumaru learned his lesson and found peace (and sanity) in the end. Very thoughtful of him though, to try to turn human for her.

my god ... what a sad ending. it started out all romantic and all - i was so sure you weren't a realist and that you'd give the two a happily ever after in some way or another.

Well he finally gets it. It took an amazingly long time for him to figure it out. So like a male. It never ceases to amaze me that you can tell them exactly what you want yet they persist in giving you what they think you should have.

uhm... god and bad... I like the story :) but I think you should reconsider some of the things you've written. Like this (when Kagome hugs Kikyou): "Kagome never feared Kikyo’s appendages may fall off and crumble to dust while she was touching her." Well... why would she? Kikyou's body has held up against many things through the series, and you've decided yourself that she now has a bigger portion of the soul. Her body would be at least as strong as any human's. It's as if we're missing some inside-your-head reasoning that you forget to put in the story.

Well... anyways, this story is old, so probably no-one's gonna read this... I just thought I'd write it anyway. I've forgotten why.
