Wow, that was so good! You have a beautiful command of the language, your imagery is superb! And unlike many authors, your dialogue was spot on, too. I can see Severus feeling and acting like that, and Dumbles, too. And Minerva--always blind to the faults of her dear Slytherins; how could she not have noticed her gang terrorizing Severus for 7 years?

This is some of the best Dumbledore/Snape interaction I've ever read, and even more so because it's Snape as a young man. Very, very well written and it's still quite close to canon, even following the disclosures of HBP.

Chilling ending, made me shudder. Brilliant characterization, the portraits made me laugh and feel paranoid in turn, and I am delighted with the entire story.

Oh, this is just awesome. I loved the fingers in Severus' mouth part, and the paintings, and the rich prose on the FEELING of the spells and occlumency!

Severus and Dumbledore's thoughts and witty speech was incredible, as well and the descriptions of Poppy and Minerva!

You know, one of my first thoughts about that penseive mess in OOtP was that if you changed the hair colour, James or Sirius could totally pass for Malfoy. Scary.
